NieR Automata is getting an anime adaptation and now it’s confirmed and guaranteed as the promotional video is out now. The Best JRPG is another one in the headlines, but this time it’s not a rumor but a completely authentic announcement. Earlier, on February 4, 2022, a rumor arose among NieR Automata fans that the game will inspire an anime series. It happened because of the tweet done on a very popular anime fan page with the username @Spanku_u. At the time, however, nothing was official as the creators did not say a word about the anime adaptation of the popular game. But now it seems that the rumor was not a rumor, but a full-fledged spoiler that was leaked prior to the official announcement.
Since everyone including anime aficionados and gamers took the leak as a rumor, they were quite disheartened. But at the same time, many fans questioned the statement and gave good arguments. Nevertheless, all reports now come entirely from formal sources. How can we say that? Nier: Automata is a very popular name among gamers because it is an action game. The game is published by developers PlatinumGames and was published by publishers Square Enix. More precisely, the game is the sequel to the original game Nier, which itself is the spin-off of the Drakengard series. It was directed by director Yoko Taro – the well-known Japanese video game director – known for directing Drakengard. An entire staff of creators has teamed up to create this masterpiece, which is further adapted as an anime adaptation. The game’s features, characters, and environment were designed by Takahisa Taura and Isao Negishi. Several arcs and storylines of NieR: Automata were written by Yoko Taro, Hana Kikuchi, and Yoshiho Akabane. The game has been released for various platforms including PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox One.
Story
Since it is a role-playing game, the ending of the series depends entirely on the choices we made while playing. It gives a different ending every time you play the game. The plot of the game takes place in an era of the proxy war that was fought between machines made by aliens and androids made by humans. The main characters of the game are Android 2B, Android 9S and the rogue prototype A2. In the game, Earth is attacked by aliens and humans are forced to live on the moon as refugees. However, since they can’t spend their lives on the moon, people have created an Android called YoRHA. The game requires multiple playthroughs and each will unlock additional elements of the story.
NieR: Automata anime adaptation release PV
The highly anticipated teaser we’re talking about here was released on YouTube on February 23, 2022. To our surprise, the creators still intend to keep it slow and spread the information very slowly. The teaser didn’t give away much about the anime, neither the character design nor the animation can be predicted from it. However, at the end we got a nice look at the appearance of 2B and Pod 042 androids. Apart from this there was some writing in the beginning but that was all in Japanese and we can’t read it. And that all information square Enix decided to hand out.
The entire game of NieR Automata is based on the things a player does that determine the end of the game. Still, fans are questioning the creator’s decisions to turn it into an anime. Simply because there is a toughest collision scene that is made awesome by the interaction that the player has.
